The new LLMUX2 FTA (51305890-175) have a number of enhancements:

• A separate A/D per channel
• Improved open thermocouple detection within one second
• Improved loop resistance to allow longer thermocouple wiring to the field
• They use solid-state technology, eliminating the use of mercury-wetted relays
• They have on-board diagnostic capability

This CE-compliant FTA must be used with the CE-compliant version of the LLMux Power Adapter 51309204-125 (MU-TALP02) or 51309204-175 (MC-TALP02). The power adapter can support any combination of two thermocouple or RTD FTAs.

The 51304362-150 LLux IOP (32-channel) can support two LLMux FTAs (16-channel)

Some model LLMux FTAs have a local Cold Junction Reference (CJR) on the assembly, while other models FTAs provide terminal connections for a remote CJR sensor. All remote terminations and the remote CJR sensor assembly must be located in the same cabinet. There is also the Resistive Thermal Device (RTD)

In general there are two models of each type of Low Level Analog Input Multiplexer (LLMux) Field Termination Assemblies (FTA). One model is CE Compliant, while the other model is not CE Compliant. The CE Compliant assembly is identified by a part number tab number that ends in '25' or '75.'

Most standard FTA types are available with either compression-type or screw-type terminal connectors. This part uses compression terminals. The number of terminals for both the compression-type and screw-type terminal connector can vary depending on the type of standard FTA.
