The regulator card receives +24V from the backplane, and providess +5V and +/-12V output to its chasis. If a regulated voltage faults, the card communicates the fault to other boards in the file. Test sockets are provided on the front of the card for fault detection and calibration. Early versions of this card contain 3 removeable fuses, new version hold 2.

WPC installs new electrolytic capacitors of the original specification on this regulator, as shown.
