Following the introduction of Universal Controller parts for the Extended Controller, Honeywell introduced this limited version 30731832-004 of the original processor card for the Extended Reserve Controller Director and Data Hiway Port. This card will not work in the Extended Controller.

The original version of this processor, the 30731832-002 is still available from WPC, and can be used in the Extended Controller in addition to the ERCD and DHP.

This card contains the microprocessor that drives the ERCD or DHP. A single red LED on the card edge indicates that the processor is running.

WPC has a special-built processor card tester that is used on all of our processor cards prior to our regular system test. This microprocessor-controlled tester executes a series of assembly-language programs designed to verify the logical states of the card's digital circuitry. Once all circuits on the card have been verified as operating correctly, the card is system-tested for a minimum 48-hours in our TDC 2000 test bed. Not even the original manufacturer tests their processors this thoroughly.

Troubleshooting Tip: Failure of this processor card is one of the most common failures in the Hiway boxes using this card. When troubleshooting a failed ERCD or DHP, verify proper processor operation first.
