LLMux, SI, SDI Power Adapter FTA - 51309204-175 (MC-TLPA02)

The 51309204-175 (model MC-TLPA02) Power Adapter mounts in the FTA tray within the xPM cabinet and serves as the interface between the IOP and up to two remote Serial Device Interface (SDI) FTAs. A single SDI IOP can communicate with one or two SDI FTAs through this adapter. The unit is Conformal Coated and CE compliant.

Wiring and Installation:

• Internal Installation:
  When both the IOP and Power Adapter are installed inside the same cabinet or cabinet complex, they are connected using a 51304465-xxx cable. The 'xxx' denotes cable lengths of 30, 66, 100, 200, or 300 centimeters.

  • This cable includes two individually shielded, twisted-pair wires.

  • Shield wires must be grounded only at the Power Adapter end.

  • Connections are made using compression terminals:

    • 6-terminal connector at the Power Adapter

    • 4-terminal connector at the FTA

• External Installation:
  When the Power Adapter is installed in a cabinet separate from the IOP, use a MU-KFTSxx cable, where 'xx' indicates the length (available in 12 sizes, up to 50 meters / 164 feet).

  • The maximum external cable length is 300 meters (1000 feet).

  • Use the MU-KLXxxx external cabinet cable, which includes four wires with a single braided shield.

  • The braided shield must be connected at both the Power Adapter and FTA ends.
