The Honeywell 51454192-150 Enhanced High Performance Process Manager (EHPM) replaces the HPM in an LCN-based Honeywell DCS to run an Enhanced Universal Control Network (EUCN) in a Honeywell Experion DCS system.? The UCN status displays are updated for EUCN.

Upgrading the hardware in a PM or an APM or an HPM to EHPM must be performed AFTER the R684 migration. You must migrate the PM or APM to R6xx, save the checkpoint, and then translate to the HPM. Upgrading PMs or APMs to EHPMs, or HPMs to EHPMs, must be performed OFF-LINE. The upgrade involves;

• saving the current PM/APM/HPM configuration,
• shutting down and upgrading the hardware,
• reconfiguring the node,
• reloading the R684 software and the translated checkpoints,
• checkpoint reconfigured EHPM along with ENIM,
• reboot the ENIM to update the Authentication Group with the Device Index of the EHPMs.

All EHPMs should show OK or BACKUP and in FULL CONTROL (if required) on the UCN Status Display. This verifies that the primary ENIMs and EHPMs are communicating correctly with the Secondary running with the BOOTP provided subnet configuration.
