MC CPU Card
The CPU is the centerpiece of the MFC and contains a 16-bit NMOS microprocessor. It initiates and controls the execution of the sequence control, modulating, logic block, I/O monitoring, and diagnostic functions. The CPU also has a START switch, located at the front of the board, which is used to set the controller to IDLE state when the controller is in a RESET state.
Troubleshooting Tip:This CPU card is the most common source of failures in the Multifunction Controller. When troubleshooting a failed MFC, rule out a failed CPU card first.
