This version of the processor card for the Multifunction Controller has uses an FPGA emulation instead of the original CP-1600 microprocessor chip.

This CPU provides the processor power for the MFC and contains a 16-bit microprocessor emulator. This card initiates and controls the execution of the sequence control, modulating, logic block, I/O monitoring, and diagnostic functions. The CPU also has a START switch, located at the front of the board, which is used to set the controller to IDLE state when the controller is in a RESET state.

Troubleshooting Tip:This CPU card is the most common source of failures in the Multifunction Controller. When troubleshooting a failed MFC, rule out a failed CPU card first.
